Models are now having a challenging time finding work, considering that only a few agencies are still in boom. This means there’ll be more people lining up at the doors, hoping to survive in a fast-paced industry.

Some models are now opting stocking up on groceries instead of spending lavishly on overpriced dinners. Some are updating their portfolios with the hope of snagging a new agent that would assure them regular work. Some are willing to cut down their professional rates.

This simply serves as a wake-up call for everyone that there’s really no certainty these days when it comes to employment.

Golden Globe-award winning actor Kiefer Sutherland has reportedly headbutted a popular fashion designer at an after party event at the Metropolitan Museam of Art’s Costume Institute Gala.

According to media reports, the “24” star said that he was just trying to defend actress Brooke Shields when the fashion designer allegedly “knocking” the actress to the ground. However, the actress won’t be supporting Sutherland’s claims.

The altercation started when Sutherland approached fashion designer Jack McCollough after the alleged incident. It was then that the actor pounced on McCollough.

At this point, a representative for Shields said that the actress denied any involvement in the incident at all. The rep added that McCollough did not do anything inappropriate and that they have no idea what caused Sutherland to headbutt him.

The authorities are currently undergoing investigation on the incident. They will interview Shields later in the week. As for McCollough, the fashion designer was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment.

There are still no updates whether he will file a case against Sutherland. As for the “24” actor, he voluntarily surrendered himself to the authorities. He’s likely to face misdemeanor charges resulting from the incident.

Clothing retailer Blair, which is based in Warren, Pennsylvania, reportedly recalled more than 160,000 units of chenille robes because the said items did not pass the flammability requirements set by the federal government. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) said this week that the wearer may be in danger of catching on fire on the robe by exposure to an open flame. So far, there are three incidents of robe owners catching on fire, one sustained second-degree burns.

The robe was described in the website as a “one-piece garment made of plush sculpted chenille, a shaped stand collar, and horizontal chenille front and back yolks and cuffs. The robe has a full-button front with seven matching button closures, with self cuffs, a straight bottom with self hem and two sideseam pockets.

Nonprofit international association of designers Color Marketing Group (CMG) once again revealed some fashion trends in fabric colors that are expected to hit major retail outlets in the near future.
