John Lewis reports massive weekly sales rise

Department store chain John Lewis reported last week that it achieved a massive 15.9 percent increase in sales within a span of the week. This is translated to a total of £ 53.7 million.
Store officials said that the current fashion trends they are offering to the masses proved to be a hit. Stronger sales in menswear, sunglasses and footwear helped the company achieved the aforementioned release.
John Lewis reported that 25 of its stores have beaten last year’s figures are way ahead in sales. Their store in Bluewater was the top performer with 32 percent in sales increase reported. The online site posted an increase of 35 percent.
John Lewis offers home goods, technology, electrical supplies and fashion items. Company head of operational support Chris Hooper said that their fashion division has been posting positive revenues.
